At IISF 2025: BIT Wardha Ranks 1st with Maximum Selections and Wins Three Awards

Bajaj Institute of Technology (BIT), Wardha achieved a remarkable national milestone as three student teams from the institute win awards at the prestigious 11th India International Science Festival (IISF) 2025, held at Panchkula, Haryana from 6th to 9th December 2025. Competing against an exceptionally large and diverse pool of over 40,000 participants from India and abroad, BIT Wardha’s teams delivered outstanding performances to secure top honours. Team Kisan Saathi won First Prize in the Agriculture and Food Security category, while Team Nexon and Team Shakti jointly secured First Prize in the Education and Skilling category, bringing national recognition to the institute. Notably, BIT Wardha had earlier ranked 1st at the All-India level by securing the maximum number of finalist selections—eight teams—in IISF 2025, further reinforcing its strong innovation-driven academic ecosystem.

The India International Science Festival 2025, organized under the national vision of “Vigyan Se Samruddhi: for Aatmanirbhar Bharat”, served as a global platform celebrating science-led growth and innovation for a self-reliant India.

All three winning teams comprised third-year Computer Engineering students of BIT Wardha, who demonstrated exceptional technical depth, creativity, and real-world problem-solving skills. Team Kisan Saathi, consisting of Yogita Yadav, Divya Telrandhe, and Sanskrity Singh, won the top honour in the Agriculture and Food Security theme for their project Unified ML-Powered Platform for Market Analysis, Rental Services, and E-Commerce’, offering a comprehensive digital solution to empower farmers. In the Education and Skilling theme, Team Nexon, comprising Pranjali Chute, Dhanashree Hingankar, and Vaishnavi Waghmare, impressed the jury with their Smart Education Tablet System’, aimed at transforming digital learning experiences. Sharing the top position in the same category, Team Shakti, with members Purva Ingole, Tanvi Bakale, and Akshita Dubey, presented an AI-based Mobile Platform for Sports Talent Assessment, addressing talent identification and skill development through technology.

The outstanding performance of BIT students was the result of sustained mentorship and academic guidance. The teams were mentored by Prof. Sheetal Kale, Mr. Abhishek Kinhekar, Mr. Vikas Palekar, and Dr. Amol Jumde, while Assistant Professor Sandesh Jain played a pivotal role in coordinating the IISF activities at the college level and facilitating smooth participation in the competition.

Faculty members and Heads of the Departments of BIT Wardha also extended their congratulations to the students for this remarkable achievement.
